Oishi introduces their newest product!
I've been pestering Babat for the longest time about him giving me a pasalubong from Imus. At first I wanted a walis as my pasalubong but after I saw that he was serious in giving me one, I backed out since I don't want to be seen in public holding a walis even if it's a gift. Hahaha..
So after much more pangungulit, he said that he already has a pasalubong for me, in fact it's a food but I can't think of any food that Imus is famous for. I know Antipolo has its famous cashew nuts, Batangas is know for its kapeng barako and Davao for durian, but Imus? I can't think of any... maybe an edible wood carving?, in which he corrected me saying that wood carvings are from Paite not Imus. Hahaha...
The day came when he was suppose to give the "mysterious" pasalubong to me...
JUDD: Pasalubong ko?
BABAT: Kinain ko na eh.. Bukas!
The next day...
JUDD: Pasalubong ko?
BABAT: Nasa baba..
JUDD: Baba? Baka chichiria lang yan ah!
BABAT: Oo nga..
JUDD: Ehh??
BABAT: Yung factory pala ng Oishi nasa Imus! So, bibili nalng kita dyan sa baba.. Hahaha..
JUDD: Ayoko, gusto ko authentic from Imus. Hahaha..
BABAT: Sige ano ba gusto mo?
JUDD: Snacku!
A few more days and he messaged me, saying that he already asked someone to buy Snacku directly from the factory of Oishi. "Kaya lang... Alam mo ba..." he said. "REGENT gumawa ng Snacku hindi Oishi! REGENT! Hahaha..." I burst out of laughter instantly. I had no idea that Snacku is made by REGENT.. Malay ko ba! Hahaha...
The next day he gave it to me, a Snacku directly from..... 10Q convenience store.. hahaha.. And it still has the price tag in it.. P10.50, quite cheap for something green.. Haha..
I promised not to eat it since it's the first Snacku that Oishii has produced but what the hell! Food is food so I ate it while IM-ing babat saying...
